MPE is partnering with the Program of Research and Evaluation for Public Schools (PREPS) and William Carey University to host a symposium for new teachers on Saturday, January 12, 2019.  The symposium, which is designed for teachers with five or less years’ experience, is FREE to MPE members or teachers in PREPS member districts.  It will be held at Highland Bluff Elementary School in Brandon.  Whitney Drewrey, Mississippi’s 2018 Teacher of the Year, and Donna Porter, nationally known teacher expert on classroom management, will keynote the event.  Breakout sessions will offer practical guidance for behavior and classroom management, professionalism, and instructional strategies to reach all learners. The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.  William Carey will provide CEUs free-of-charge to participantsRegister Here!
