Mississippi lost a faithful and devoted public servant and MPE lost our founder and mentor with the death of Mrs. Linda Anglin this past Wednesday. “Miss Linda” founded MPE in 1979 at her kitchen table because she wanted teachers to have an individual right to address their school board. As MPE celebrates our 40th anniversary this year, there is no question of Miss Linda’s invaluable support and love for our association. She left her mark on public education not only via MPE, but in her work over the years with numerous state leaders, including her tireless efforts beside Governor William Winter on the 1982 Education Reform Act. Click here for her obituary which reflects her tireless service to public education. We will strive to continue to uphold her principles, her beliefs and her passion as we serve our members each day.
