The fellowship lasts from July 2019 to March 2020 and includes approximately 20+ hours of service each month with a stipend of $7,500 provided for the nine month period. To be eligible, you must be a current NBCT actively working in the educational field. Fellows take two trips (July 2019 and March 2020) to the National Board’s Northern Virginia office. The application includes four essays, your resume and two letters of recommendation. It must be completed by April 10.
Fellowship Application: NBCTs needed to do external reviews
The NBPTS would love to have NBCTs from the field to review the Fellowship applications. Reviewers would read an applicant’s four short essays, letters of recommendation, and resume and provide scoring based on a rubric. The number of applications to be read will be determined by how many applications NPBTS receives and the number of external reviewers. NBPTS hopes to get enough reviewers that each would review 15-20 applications which would take about 5 hours of review and scoring. The timeline is:
Application open March 15- April 10.
External Review April 15- May 3.
Internal final review/interviews May 6-15.
Announce by May 15
NBCTs interested in reviewing should complete this application by April 5.
