The 2019-2020 Accountability Task Force held its second meeting last Wednesday, February 5, 2020. The Accountability Task Force had the following three topics on the agenda:
A continued discussion regarding the reasonableness of MAAP growth measures specifically at Level 3. The Task Force asked for additional information regarding the impact on school level performance for looking at a Level 3C model – three bands within Level 3: 3A, 3B, and 3C.
Discussion of the approach for the threshold of the lowest 25% Growth for MAAP-A. The task force discussed using the same methodology as used for MAAP. Members were interested in looking at additional impact data and possibly other options before moving forward in making a final recommendation.
Banking of the High School Science Scores. Essentially the discussion was to use the same process/approach used last year to calculate science for accountability purposes.
The next Accountability Task Force meeting will be March 24, 2020.
