<title>USM WCTP Hosting Summer Workshops</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 18px; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">The National Board Standards study course is an important step on the journey toward National Board Certification. The University of Southern Mississippi’s World Class Teaching Program (USM WCTP) is offering three sections of this workshop. The virtual workshop is a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning about National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification. </span></p> <p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">Participants will choose from one of two windows of time to complete the virtual workshop. Each “window” or section includes two face-to-face Zoom sessions. In between the Zoom sessions, participants will work through the learning exercises in the Canvas course at their own pace. Participants will receive Canvas and Zoom links 48 hours before their section begins. The 2-day face-to-face workshop will be held ats the Rankin County School District. </span></p> <p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">Session 1 (virtual): June 8-15 with Zoom calls on the 8<sup>th</sup> and 15<sup>th</sup> from 1:30-2:30 p.m.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">Session 2 (virtual): July 20-27 with Zoom calls on the 20<sup>th</sup> and 27<sup>th</sup> from 1:30-2:30 p.m.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">Session 3: June 16 and 17 in-person session at the Rankin County School District Family Resource Center (200 School Road, Brandon, MS 39042) from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day</span></li></ul>   <p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;">Registration is $48 and 1.5 CEUs are available for an additional $15.
