This session will orient teachers on understanding the guidelines and the process for identification, screening, and placement of EL students. The training will address accountability models and the LAS LINKS test structure. The progress of EL students to meet proficiency will be targeted. The training will identify available school supports. Information on trauma informed practice will be provided. The stages of cultural adjustment and language acquisition will be presented.
