Founded in 1979, Mississippi Professional Educators is a statewide professional organization whose members come from all aspects of the educational systems in our state and is an alternative to union participation. Our 12,000 members include teachers, administrators and non-certified staff from kindergarten to graduate school level. Our top priority is the education and achievement of students, as the organization is guided by our eight principles of belief which were established when MPE was founded and these are still the foundation of the organization today.
