The newly revised Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Social Studies (2022) are designed to equip K-12 students with both content knowledge and skills to become “more capable, independent, and literate” individuals as a result of their social studies education. This training is designed to help K-6 educators understand and apply the guiding principles of the standards in their unique instructional contexts .
