NEW MPE Benefit: NBCT Scholarship

The application for our NEW scholarship for MPE members pursuing National Board Certification is now available. Open the attached document for the application and guidelines. MPE will award up to ten (10) one-time scholarships in the amount of $475 each to MPE members who wish to pursue their National Board Certification. The scholarship is available to any educator who: 1) is a member of MPE for a minimum of one year immediately prior to the application due date; 2) will be under contract as a full-time educator in Mississippi during the 2018-2019 school year; 3) holds a current bachelor’s degree, a valid Mississippi teaching license, and three years of classroom or school counselor experience. Applicants must submit the $75 nonrefundable and nontransferable registration fee to the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards and have a valid candidate identification number; and 4) applicants must be registered with a Mississippi World Class Teaching Program. Application packets must be received in our office by Friday, August 3, 2018.
