MDE Provides Guidance on Student Walkouts

Given plans some students across the country have made to organize walkouts on March 14, March 24 and April 20 in protest of gun violence, the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has provided the attached guidance as a reference. MDE shared the guidance with districts earlier today. The suggested guidance includes: general suggestions for local districts; suggestions for guidance to school administrators; sample messaging guidance for school leaders; and, additional resources.
