FY 26 Revenue Estimate Adopted: The Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC) and Governor Reeves have adopted a Joint Revenue Estimate for FY 2026 (2025-2026 school year) of $7.6 billion. The JLBC will issue its initial FY 2026 Legislative Budget Recommendation on December 11 based on this revenue estimate. A final revenue estimate will be adopted near the end of the 2025 Mississippi Legislative Session when the FY 2026 budget is adopted.
Lottery Proceeds Transferred to State: The Mississippi Lottery Corporation’s October transfer of $8.9 million to the state brought the Fiscal Year 2025 year-to-date total to $36.5 million.In accordance with state law, the first $80 million in lottery proceeds each fiscal year goes to roads and bridges, while lottery proceeds greater than $80 million go to the Education Enhancement Fund (EEF).
