The are no bills under consideration at the capitol that impact or address National Board Certification. Yesterday, March 4, was the deadline for committees to pass general bills that originated in the other chamber. Any general bill not passed by the other chamber’s committee(s) by last night’s deadline died on the calendar. Next Wednesday, March 12, is the floor deadline for each chamber to act on general bills that originated in the other chamber and survived yesterday’s committee deadline. Fiscal Year 2026 (25-26 school year) funding for World Class Teaching Programs and NBCT supplements will be determined in the coming weeks as the Fiscal Year 2026 budget is finalized.
