Tonight is the deadline to dispose of Motions to Reconsider on appropriation or revenue bills that originated in the other chamber. The Senate declined to reconsider its vote by which HB 1902 failed, so that bill which increased tax credits the state may award via the Children’s Promise Act for donations to private schools will die on the calendar tonight. The appropriation process is in full swing, with conferees appointed on most appropriation bills. The next significant deadline is next Thursday, March 27, when each chamber must concur or not concur in amendments made by the other chamber to general bills.
