MPE Members Honored as District Teachers and Administrators of the Year

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) honored local districts’ Administrators and Teachers of the Year during a celebration held at the Jackson Convention Center on April 25. MPE was proud to be a sponsor of the celebration.

 

MPE member Ashley Barefoot, a teacher at Longleaf Elementary in the Lamar County School District, is the 2025 Mississippi Teacher of the Year. MPE member Tobie Lambert of the Mississippi School of the Arts was named alternate 2025 Mississippi Teacher of the Year. MPE member Sandra Danzey, principal of Stone Elementary School in the Stone County School District, was honored as the Congressional District 4 Administrator of the Year.
