During its meeting this past Tuesday evening, September 2, the Clinton Board of Aldermen passed a resolution opposing the establishment or expansion of school choice programs – whether public or private – that divert public funding or support from their community’s traditional public schools. The resolution urges Clinton’s legislative delegation, the Mississippi State Legislature, and Governor Reeves to oppose school choice and invest in strengthening public education. The resolution passed unanimously.
