During its meeting this past Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Pearl adopted a resolution opposing public and private school choice programs. The resolution states that such programs undermine public education and that vouchers eliminate public accountability and divert critical public resources to private schools. The resolution passed unanimously.
