The State Board of Education (SBE) is seeking public comments regarding the proposed revisions to Standard 14, Appendix A and Appendix G of the Mississippi Public School Accountability Standards, 2016: Graduation Requirements. The proposed revisions would give students the opportunity to earn an endorsement with their high school diploma and would ensure that the majority of students with disabilities earn a traditional diploma. Open the attached document for additional information regarding the proposed revisions. MDE will host hearings on the proposed changes on August 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. and August 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. These proceedings are open to the public and will be held in the auditorium at the Central High School Building at 359 N. West Street, Jackson, MS 39205. Written comments should be submitted to Dr. Jo Ann Malone, Office of Accreditation, 359 N. West Street, Post Office Box 771, Jackson, MS 39205-0771. You may also submit comments electronically to or faxed to 601-359-1979. All comments must be received in the Office of Accreditation no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2017.
