Mississippi House Speaker Jason White announced the creation of three new study committees this past Tuesday, June 24, to study a number of issues before the 2026 Legislative Session.The Speaker’s Education Freedom Committee is charged with studying and assessing the House’s commitment to “transforming the educational landscape” in our state via school choice.House Education Chairman Rob Roberson of Starkville will chair the committee, while Rep. Jansen Owen of Poplarville will serve as co-chair. We will keep you updated as to the committee’s work.
